Avalara CRUSH was a multi-day online conference bringing together industry professionals and panelists to discuss tax, tech, retail, and other business strategies.

I worked with COLOR Creative as the main designer on the team behind branding the Avalara CRUSH Global event, a virtual conference focused on the impacts of changing government policy and accelerating technology. We created guidelines to follow and advertisements for them to post to promote the event. Shown here are pages from the brand guide I created for internal use.












About Me

Sydney's work combines horror with cuteness, reality with whimsy, and activism with empathy. A strong focus on inclusivity and representation flows through her projects, whether it be a brand guide or a drawing of a dog. She knows art doesn't always have to be so serious, but in these trying times, she believes the most important thing she can do as an artist is put positive energy at the forefront of her work. Art is inspiring, so she strives to inspire progress, mainly focusing on feminism and the LGBTQIA+ community.


After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from Cornish College of the Arts in 2018, she worked as a designer while drawing comics on the side. In 2023, she earned her MFA in Visual Narrative from the School of Visual Arts and was gifted the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for Excellence. Her work has been shown at numerous festivals and bookstores across America. In 2023, Sydney became a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York City.
